Cakepops

Not so long ago my cousin gave me her owl ring and necklace, because she knows how much I love owls. To return the gesture, I've decided to bake her some cakepops. Sadly, I only had 7 sticks left, but anyways ... she loved my gift :)

I've stolen the recipe from Tejas blog with few changes.

Sponge:
  • 4 eggs
  • 50g sugar
  • 120g spelt flour
  • some baking powder

Bake the sponge at 180 °C for about 25 minutes.

Next:
  • 220g Nutella (or more)
  • 550g plain chocolate
  • 50g butter

Crumble the sponge, then add Nutella and molten plain chocolate to get something like this:

Make small balls, then put them in a fridge for half an hour or in a freezer for 15 minutes.

Decoration:
  • sticks
  • plain chocolate
  • butter
  • vermicelli, sugar hearts etc.

Melt the chocolate with butter. Dip the stick in and then put the ball on. Then dip the whole cakepop in the chocolate and make sure that the extra chocolate runs down. Now you can finally decorate your cakepop and voila, you're done.

Bon appétit!

Spring nails

There was a knock on my door at the beginning of this week ... and guess who it was? SPRING!
F i n n a l l y. I could not wait any longer to put my new converse all star shoes on and stop wearing winter jackets with 3 pullovers underneath.
Today I've painted my nails with daisy pattern on black matte base. Hope you like it :)

Spring is when life's alive in everything!

DIY: Ruined pocket

About a year ago I bought myself these trousers, which I really liked. But of course, I had to ruin them. One day I sat down on a chewing gum. The best way to save my trousers would've been to put them in a freezer and one day later chewing gum would've come off easily. Unfortunately I did not know that back then, so I just washed them with water and soap and then scrubbed the smudge. And final result was: crap. My trousers literally lost colour on the pocket.  I was wondering for a long time what to do, because I did not want to throw them away. And this is what I've come up with ...

what you'll need:
- ruined trousers
-  some fabric
- scissors
- thread
- sewing needle

[you can not see my ruined pocket, but believe me, it was gross, especially with me wearing the trousers]

[ I know it is not an elegant cut ... ]

... I'm not really sure it if I like it or not. I mean, I love the pattern, but this white color is really outstanding. Either I will adjust to my new pocket or I will somehow change it.

Tell me what you think.
