Essie nail polish

Hy there!

I'm sure you've all noticed everyone talking about Essie nail polishes. I see pictures of these on instagram, weheart it and blogs daily. I really wanted to give them a try and guess what - yesterday I bought 2 nail polishes for the prize of one. I really thought these polishes were special and I would be amazed by their look, but I've gotta be honest with you guys, I am not impressed.

I bought the mademoiselle and sand tropez shade.

I applied 3 coats of mademoiselle and 2 coats of sand tropez. I can barely tell that I am wearing any of mademoiselle polish. I really thought the color would be more intensive, as it appeared from the bottle. I guess I would have to use this one as a top coat only. Regarding the sand tropez, for better appearance, I think I would apply 3 coats as well.

All in all, I do not know whether I just picked the wrong shades or what but in my opinion, I do not think these 2 polishes are worth their prize (a little less than 10 € for each without any discount). Even so the brush is very nice - it paints your nails perfectly. And I really like the bottle, too.

Ombre nails

Hello!

Today I've been trying to paint my nails in 'ombre style'. I am satisfied with the result, although I would rather pick some other colors next time. 

Let's get started: 

1.  Pick bottles of nailpolish (2, 3, 4 ... as much as you want) and a sponge.

2. You can sellotape your fingers around your nails to save some time when cleaning.

3.  Create lines with colors  (in size and width of your nails).

4. Put the sponge carefully and slowly on your nail (from one side to another). Do this two to three times to make the colors more intensive.

5. Ta-da. Messy ...

6. Take off the sellotape and clean the rest of the mess with cotton bud.

I hope this is helpful. What colors should I use next time I'm doing ombre? :)

Spring nails

There was a knock on my door at the beginning of this week ... and guess who it was? SPRING! 

F i n n a l l y. I could not wait any longer to put my new converse all star shoes on and stop wearing winter jackets with 3 pullovers underneath. 

Today I've painted my nails with daisy pattern on black matte base. Hope you like it :)
